In the 20 years of Pokemon, Ash Ketchum has changed a lot, but still remains 10 years old. Now, for the upcoming Pokemon film for 2018, he’s going to change again, and this time, he looks bishounen! The Pokemon Company has recently revealed a new trailer for the 2018 film, and it reveals Ash’s new look.

Yeah, he actually looks like a bishounen, and he also looks like he might actually win an official league tournament, right? The new trailer reveals that the 2018 film will premiere on 13th July. It also credited Wit Studio (Attack on Titan, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) with animation production, alongside Oriental Light and Magic. Aside from the new trailer, the staff also unveiled a new visual:

Shizue Kaneko, who worked on moe anime, Pan de Peace, is taking charge of the character designs for the film. Meanwhile, Pokemon I Choose You’s director, Tetsuo Yajima, is returning to direct the film.

So yeah, hopefully, this new Ash might actually begin to age… or win an official league, right?!
