Universal Studios Japan will be bringing back their Cool Japan attractions next year. Of course, this includes a new Sailor Moon attraction, along with Detective Conan, Final Fantasy, and Monster Hunter. But while we already know what the other three attractions will be, the theme park still hasn’t revealed what the Sailor Moon attraction will be about. Now however, the staff have announced that it will be a 4D theater show titled “Sailor Moon The Miracle 4-D”.
The 4D show will feature special effects such as wind, water, and also accompanying onscreen visuals. It promises to recreate the world of Sailor Moon, and of course, will feature the Sailor Senshii. And yes, it will also have Sailor Moon’s famous transformation sequences in 4D as well!
And aside from all those features, the 4D show will also have an original story not found in the anime and manga. But if 4D isn’t your thing, why not USJ’s special Sailor Moon-themed menu items? It includes the Sailor Moon Cafe Plate, Sailor Moon Compact Cake Strawberry Rare Cheese, Moon Prism Power Cake Berry and Pistachio and Pineapple Cake, as well as the Sailor Moon Strawberry and Lemon Soda.
And finally, USJ’s in-park Wonder Pics photo studio, will also be offering special Sailor Moon frames.
According to the theme park’s official website, Cool Japan will return with new attractions on 19th January. However, they will only feature Monster Hunter, Detective Conan, and Final Fantasy during that time. Sailor Moon will then open its Cool Japan attraction in 16th March. However, the theme park will start serving the Sailor Moon menu on 19th January. The Sailor Moon photo booth will also begin operations on the same day as the other attractions as well.
