Anime scriptwriter Michiru Shimada has had a long career in anime. She has worked on the scripts of classics such as Uruseu Yatsura, as well as One Piece. She also worked on Little Witch Academia and Little Busters. Sadly however, the veteran scriptwriter has passed away according to her daughter.
The daughter stated in a tweet that her mother has gotten ill since last year. She then said that she passed away to that same illness. However, she didn’t specify what illness her mother had exactly.
In that same tweet, she also thanked the fans for their support of her mother’s career, which spanned 38 years. And her work includes a few huge titles, including Little Busters!, Little Witch Academia, One Piece, Before Green Gables, Romeo and the Black Brothers, Dr. Slump, Rurouni Kenshin, Jewelpet Twinkle, and Urusei Yatsura.
