The Godzilla 3DCG anime film, Godzilla: Monster Planet, premiered in Japanese theaters back in November. The film will be hitting Netflix soon, and the staff have now revealed when that will exactly happen. According to Netflix Japan, the anime film will premiere worldwide on 17th January. They also revealed a new trailer for the Netflix release.

They will stream the film across 190 countries around the world, in 23 subtitled languages. They will also release seven different dubbed versions as well. Netflix originally planned to release it worldwide in 2017, but pushed it back to the 17th.

The film trilogy’s storytakes place 20,000 years in the future when Kaijuu forced humanity out of Earth. It boasts an all-star cast of seiyuu, including Mamoru Miyano, Kana Hanazawa, Tomokazu Sugita, Yuuki Kaji, Takahiro Sakurai, Junichi Suwabe, Daisuke Ono, and many more. And of course, the legendary “Urobutcher” himself, Gen Urobuchi, is writing the scripts. Its second film will premiere in Japan this May, with Netflix also streaming it worldwide later.
