Netflix previously adapted Konami’s hit video game, Castlevania, into an animated series. Now, the global streaming service has revealed more details about its second season. According to writer Warren Ellis’s tweet, Castlevania Season 2 will be making its premiere this summer 2018.

Ellis also confirmed that Castlevania Season 2 would be longer, with eight episodes. This is because the first season, which premiered July 2017, only had four episodes. Netflix is currently streaming the first season.

This animated Castlevania has gained a reputation for all its blood and gore, as well as action. It follows the story of Castlevania III, and also follows Trevor Belmont. Here’s how Netflix describes the series:

“Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.”
