Hiromi Tsuru’s passing left a huge hole in the seiyuu industry. But as they say, the show must go on, and we now have a new Bulma. And it looks like the Dragon Ball staff spared no expense, as they cast Sailor Mercury herself, Aya Hisakawa, as Bulma’s new voice.

She will officially make her debut as the new Bulma on Dragon Ball Super’s episode 128. Titled “Noble Pride to the End! Vegeta Falls!!”, the upcoming episode will still be part of the anime’s Universe Survival Arc.

Aside from voicing Sailor Mercury in the original Sailor Moon franchise, she also voices Kerberos in Cardcaptor Sakura. She has some pretty big shoes to fill, as Hiromi Tsuru has voiced Bulma since the very first episode over 30 years ago, in 1986.
