What does the period between late March and early April have in common with Cardcaptor Sakura? That’s right, it’s Sakura! Every year around that period, sakura blossom all over Japan, and that also includes Chiyoda Ward in Tokyo. It’s most prominent sakura-viewing spot is the Chidori-ga-fuchi, right near the Imperial Palace. And to celebrate the blossoming of these flowers, the Chiyoda Ward Tourist Association has teamed up with Cardcaptor Sakura!

The Chidori-ga-fuchi is right along a moat, which of course is perfect for romantic dates under the sakura. The collaboration visual not only features Sakura on a date with Syaoran, but also that very moar as well.

Aside from the Sakura-viewing, they will also be holding a stamp rally, as well as sell official merchandise. Those who finish the stamp rally will receive an official bromide of the collaboration artwork. As for the merchandise, they include tote bags, cookies, and even water bottles.

Now that’s one Sakura-themed event, huh? They will hold it from 26th March until 8th April 2018.
