In Japan, seiyuu don’t just voice anime and video game characters, but are also singers. In other words, in order to be successful, seiyuu have to be the complete package. And it seems that the “complete package” also extends to hosting, as Hiro Shimono and Daisuke Ono get their own variety show.

Titled Shimono Ono Dokodemo Quest, the variety show will boast a JRPG theme, with the two going on “quests”. But what will these quests be? It seems that the show’s staff will decide what “quest” the two will be participating in, and it’s anything goes. From the visual above, it seems that it will range from eating corn to rafting to doing something with an ostrich.

BS11 and other networks will be broadcasting the new show starting July 2018. As for the seiyuu, fans might know Hiro Shimono for his roles as The World God Only Knows’ Keima Katsuragi, as well as Attack on Titan’s Connie Springer. Meanwhile, Daisuke Ono has voiced Black Butler’s Sebastian Michaelis and Durarara’s Shizuo Heiwajima.
