WOW Japan is honored to have one of the most popular and busiest artistes in Japan, take time out of her busy schedule to answer a few questions from us.

Welcome back to Singapore! What are you looking forward to this time around?

Roti prata! It’s my favorite Singaporean food of all time!

Your next performance in Singapore is an open-air concert. How do you think this will differ from your usual performance in Singapore?

I don’t often have the chance to perform a concert outdoors, so please bring lots of friends along and let’s have some fun! It makes me so happy to have my voice echo through my much-beloved city of Singapore!

You will also be holding your first outdoor concert in Japan entitled “May’n Hall Tour 2018「and You」~BE SUNNY!!!~”on 17th June 2018. What can your fans look forward to there?

First of all, I’ve been called a “Lady who Summons Storms”, and rain often falls during my concerts. So it’s going to be very exciting during my outdoor solo concert (hahaha)! Everyone initially seem to be looking forward to how the weather will be like (hahaha)! Lastly, just like my other performances, I want to give it my full power, and make it blazing hot day!

You have been to Singapore so many times you can be considered a local. Where would you bring your Japanese friends who are coming to Singapore for the first time?

Recently, the word “Instagrammable” has been gathering steam in Japan, and I think Arab Street in Singapore is definitely “Instagrammable”. The colorful walls and buildings make strolling through the streets really fun! You can also enjoy shopping for things like crockery, lighting, and perfumes, and my favourite roti prata can also be enjoyed there, so I highly recommend it!

Please give a message to your fans in Singapore.

It might be my fourteenth time? How many times has it been — anyway, I have been here so many times that it’s my second home! I am very happy that I can spend some meaningful time again in my favorite Singapore. Since the event is outdoors, I think it will be an even brighter and more enjoyable happy stage! Let’s have fun together on the day!

Come see May’n at her upcoming performance at Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden! Programmes within the Supertree Grove are free. Admission fees to Flower Dome apply. For more information, you can also check out the official website of Gardens By the Bay Singapore.
