Augmented Reality (AR) has enabled us to catch Pokemon in the real world, as well as a ton of other stuff. Now, Gugenka’s HoloModels AR app for iOS devices lets you go on a date. Specifically, you can have a date with Rem from Re:Zero on Augmented Reality.
HoloModels uses Apple’s ARKit technology, as well as 3DCG modeling to bring Rem to real-world locations. The app also allows users to arrange her facial expressions and even poses. They can also adjust her size relative to the background to take photos of her.
While the HoloModel app itself is free, unfortunately, the Rem model isn’t. It costs 3,780 yen to download. But sadly, the app is only for iOS smartphones… in Japan. Sorry guys!
