An important announcement has been made by the organizers of the WCS Singapore 2018 Preliminaries at 11:00 AM today, Singapore time (+8 GMT). The full text is shown below:

Important Announcement Regarding WCS Singapore.

We are unfortunately unable to host a preliminary competition, as previously announced, due to the lack of contestants who meet the criterion set by the WCS Committee.

After a discussion with WCS, we have decided that the existing contestants will be thoroughly evaluated and selected by the WCS committee at a different time and location. Working together with the WCS Committee, we will ensure the representative team will meet the standards set forth by the committee, before they attend the finals in Nagoya, Japan.

In the meantime, we will continue to work hard to host the next WCS Singapore. We are looking forward to the participation of many new candidates in the next preliminaries and will be announcing news for 2019’s registration soon.
