International fashion brand Uniqlo — whose UT collaborations with such iconic anime and manga series as Gundam, Evangelion, Dragonball, ONE PIECE, Naruto, and many more, is set to open a global flagship store at the Glorietta 5, Ayala Center in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The new store will be the largest Uniqlo branch in Southeast Asia, eclipsing the current record holder at Orchard Central in the famed Orchard Road shopping district of Singapore.

Uniqlo’s other global flagship stores are in key locations, including New York’s Fifth Avenue, London’s Oxford Street, Paris’ Opera District, Ginza in Tokyo, and Orchard Road in Singapore. Opened in 2016, the Orchard Road branch was first Global Flagship Store in Southeast Asia. The store, which currently occupies three stories of Orchard Central at about 2,700 square metres, will soon be dwarfed by the new Manila store at 4,100 square metres.
