Nana Shiba’s “Kakugo wa Ii ka Soko no Joshi” (Are You Ready? Hey You Girl!) is getting a live-action TV drama, which starts 24th June 2018 on MBS (Kansai) and 26th June 2018 on TBS (Kanto).
The main castmembers are Taishi Nakagawa as Towa Furuya, Kentaro as Ritsu Niimi, Shouma Kai as Ichiya Sawada, and Jiei Wakabayashi as Ryuusei Kuze. The TV drama is special as it will also serve as a prequel to the original work, expanding on the plot of the popular manga series.
Meanwhile, a “Kakugo wa Ii ka Soko no Joshi” a live-action film adaptation is also in the works by Toei, slated for release on 12th October 2018. The feature film will star the same cast as the TV series.
“Kakugo wa Ii ka Soko no Joshi” revolves around Towa Furuya, one of the more popular boys at his school, who sadly remains single and can’t get a girlfriend. He casually asks the beautiful but distant Misono Miwa for a date, but she dismisses him outright. Challenged, he keeps trying to get her attention, and genuinely starts falling for her.
