A Japanese idol event in Kuala Lumpur dubbed “MY Idol Party“, slated for today 13th May 2018 at the KL Live at Life Centre, has been unceremoniously postponed just one hour before the event was supposed to start. An official statement from organizers Hibikipro Events was also posted on Twitter, one hour after the scheduled doors open.

MY Idol Party’s line up included The World Standard (Wasuta), Luce Twinkle Wink☆, STARMARIE and 7Land (Nanaland). The event was publicised as a festival-style concert followed by Meet & Greet sessions with the artistes. MY Idol Party supposedly took five years in the making, and was heralded by its organizers as the next big step on its way to holding full-length solo concerts with mainstream Japanese Idols.

Addendum

As of 13th May 2018, 8:00PM the event has been officially cancellled by the organizers.

The official statement, given in Japanese, state that there was a licensing issue, that was not resolved in time to hold the event, due to the recent Malaysian elections.
