Seiyuu Masako Nozawa is one of the biggest names in the entire anime industry. Not only does she voice Goku in Dragon Ball, but also Gohan, Goten, and Goku Black. And now, the Japanese Government is giving her much more accolades, as they give her the Child Welfare Award. The seiyuu’s theater troupe, Gekidan Moonlight, even tweeted an image of Nozawa showing off her new award.

And they’re giving her the award not only for the Foundation for Promoting Sound Growth of Children, but also for the recognition of her contributions to the sound upbringing of children.

Aside from her Dragon Ball roles, fans might also know this legend from her other anime roles. These include Tetsuro Hoshino in Galaxy Express 999, Dr. Kureha in One Piece, Guilmon in Digimon Tamers, and of course, Kitarou from Gegege no Kitarou.

Congratulations on your new award, Masako Nozawa!
