Pacific Rim: Uprising has now premiered in Japan, as giant robots battle kaiju to save the Earth. Now, the Guillermo del Toro-produced film has teamed up with Mazinger Z Infinity for a special collaboration artwork. It features Mazinger Z with Gypsy Avenger, as well as the other Jaegers from Pacific Rim: Uprising. Oh, and there’s also a kaijuu in the artwork as well.

And speaking of kaiju, how about a team-up with the King of Monsters itself, Godzilla? And yes, Pacific Rim: Uprising also collaborated with the Godzilla anime for a collaboration artwork.

As the visual has shown, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle premieres in Japanese theatres on 18th May. Meanwhile, the second Pacific Rim film premiered in the country last 13th April. Hidetaka Tenjin, who works as the Godzilla anime’s designer, illustrated the collaboration artwork.

Finally, acclaimed robot anime director and mecha designer, Masami Obari, also contributed his own official artwork for the film.

Let’s just say that many consider Obari as a legendary artist for a reason.
