Much like One Piece, Naruto is also getting its very own live-action Kabuki stage play. The Kabuki play’s staff previously revealed the actors for Naruto and Sasuke, as well as the two Madara Uchihas. And now, their official twitter page has revealed a brand new key visual featuring the main cast.

Minosuke Bandou will be playing Naruto Uzumaki, while Hayato Nakamura is playing Sasuke Uchiha. Meanwhile, Kabuki playwright, G2, will be writing and directing this traditional Japanese stage play. It will also star One Piece Kabuki’s Ichikawa Ennosuke IV, who previously played Luffy, as Madara Uchiha. He will be playing the role of Madara alternately with Ainosuke Kataoka.

Meanwhile, the play’s staff also confirmed that Wagakki Band will be playing music for this Kabuki show. The band has gained a reputation for its unique blend of traditional Japanese music and modern rock. Their style of music would certainly fit the play’s atmosphere and theme, huh?

The Shinbashi Enbujou theater in Tokyo will be showing a unique Naruto stage performance using traditional Kabuki elements. They will run the Kabuki play starting August 2018. The staff still haven’t revealed any further details for this new manga-based Kabuki play yet, so expect more announcements soon.

Fellow Jump manga, One Piece, also has a Kabuki play, and it starred Ennosuke Ichikawa IV as Luffy. However, the Kabuki actor stepped down from his role as Luffy after an accident onstage.
