Get ready for more feels, because Violet Evergarden is getting a very special “Extra Episode”. This new episode will feature an episode which will happen during the events between the TV anime’s episodes 4 and 5. And now, Kyoto Animation has released a brand new PV which teases that new episode. The new PV also features the theme song, “Letter” by TRUE.
This “Extra Episode” will be coming along with the anime’s Volume 4 DVD and Blu-ray release on 4th July. But before that, Kyoto Animation will be screening it during the “Violet Evergarden Film & Concert” event at Tokyo’s NHK Hall on 1st July. Several members of the anime’s staff and cast will also be attending the event.
As for the bundle release itself, it will not only include the “Extra Episode,” but also Episodes 11-13. The Blu-ray version costs 9,800 yen, while the DVD version costs 8,800 yen. This new episode will follow Violet as she responds to an Opera singer’s letter request.
Netflix released the TV anime for Southeast Asia last January. However, it made its regional premiere during C3 AFA Singapore last year, as the event screened its very first episode.
