Special event to be held at J-WORLD TOKYO

It’s been 25 years (!!!) since the initial broadcast of Yoshihiro Togashi’s hit shounen manga series “YuYu Hakusho”, and the the franchise is celebrating in a big way by releasing a commemorative DVD/BD box, with the first volume to be released in July, and monthly thereafter all the way to October, as Comic Natalie reports.

Alongside the release, “YuYu Hakusho” will be holding two special events at J-WORLD TOKYO in Ikebukuro. The first will be held from the 5th June to 13th July 2018, and the second one — featuring the all-new animated short “TWO SHOTS exclusively created for the final volume of the DVD/BD box set. Yoshihiro Togashi’s “YuYu Hakusho” was originally serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump from 1990 to 1994, with the anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot broadcast from 1992 to 1994. The story centers on a young man, Yusuke Urameshi, who died saving a young boy from a speeding car. He was sent back to Earth to serve as “underworld Detective”, investigating supernatural crimes in the real world.
