If you’re on Twitter and you’re a huge KonoSuba fan, then you’re probably already aware how the production staff just triple-whammied their followers with three big announcements! But if you live under a rock, you may have missed them — so we’re here to share a quick reminder with you!
First up, a theatrical adaptation of KonoSuba will be released soon! The cast of the TV anime adaptation Jun Fukushima, Sora Amamiya, Rie Takahashi, Ai Kayano, Yu Horie, and Aki Toyosaki will be reprising their roles. However the biggest change will be the production studio, as the film will be done by JC Staff (the anime TV series was done by Studio Deen).
Next up is the announcement of an orchestra live event, to be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre on 3rd February 2019! The main cast members Jun Fukushima, Sora Amamiya, Rie Takahashi, and Ai Kayano will be in attendance, as well as opening theme song singer MACHICO and composer Masato Koda.
Last but not least, the first season of the anime will get a BD box release, slated to hit stores on 24th October 2018! The BD box will contain all ten episodes of the first season of the TV series, as well as the first OAV. It will also be accompanied by a copy of the script for the 5th episode, original illustrations by Kurone Mishima and Kōichi Kikuta, and a special booklet.
It’s a big year for KonoSuba fans, and we can’t wait for the release!
