Good news My Hero Academia fans in Japan, because mangaka Kouhei Horikoshi has a special treat for you guys. He’s releasing a very special bonus tie-in manga for the upcoming My Hero Academia the Movie: Futari no Hero, with several select Japanese theaters releasing it as the film makes its Japanese premiere. And now, the film’s staff has revealed a new teaser trailer, and it also talks about the new manga:

The manga itself will feature an original story from Kouhei Horikoshi himself, as well as several other bonus features. These include a spacial character analysis section, as well as a “secret conversation” between Horikoshi and One Piece mangaka Eiichiro Oda. As for the video above, it also features the film’s theme song, “Long Hope Philia” by Masaki Suda.

The new trailer also revealed that the film will premiere on 3rd August 2018. As for its story, it will follow our heroes-in-training in a moving artificial island. It will also take a look at All Might’s younger days as well. According to a previous announcement, the film’s timeline will happen sometime after the Final Exam Arc.

Kenji Nagasaki will be directing the film over at BONES, while Yoshihiko Umakoshi is returning as character designer. Meanwhile, Yousuke Kuroda is writing the script, with mangaka Kouhei Horikoshi supervising it. They also credited him with the original work. As for the cast, they will be reprising their roles from the TV anime.
