Although the formal announcement refrained from citing any specific reasons for the cancelation, most people following the story infered that MINE’s controversial Tweets, as well as some of the contentious content in the show’s plot, ultimately ended the production and broadcast of the anime series.

In addition, the publisher of the light novel series — Hobby Japan, has announced that it will halt the distribution of all 18 volumes of the light novel published so far. MINE originally mentioned in his apology Tweet that he will speak with his publisher about revising some of the content in the print version of the web novel. However, this appears to have become a moot point.
