Via Comic Natalie: World smash hit series SLAM DUNK will be releasing a special “restructured” edition, cutting down from 31 to 20 volumes, and featuring all-new covers from Takehiko Inoue. The newly restructured volumes aim to organize the lenghty story into arcs, with each arc focusing on a particular competition in Shohoku’s season.

The first arc with volumes 1 to 6 will be released in Japan today — 1st June 2018, and focuses on the formation of Team Shohoku. The next arc covering volumes 7 to 10 will be released on 2nd July 2018, and will cover the first half of the prefectural finals.

Volumes 11 to 14 covering the latter half of the prefectural competitions arc will be released on 1st August 2018, and finally the Interhigh arc covering volumes 15 to 20 will be released on 1st September 2018.
