Following popular responses and the influx of customers’ orders from earlier collaborations, “Fashion x Anime!” concept apparel brand Super Groupies announces their latest tie-in with popular PC and smartphone browser game Touken Ranbu –Online–. This round of collaboration – the sixth thus far – features footwear inspired by four of the game’s characters.
Loafer pumps in classic black, accentuated with simplistic but stylish gold accessories, inspired by Kasen Kanesada – the treasured sword of poet /warlord Hosokawa Tadaoki (1563 – 1646). The sword crest for Kasen is printed in gold emboss on the insole of the pumps. They retail for JPY 15,800 a pair.
Casually classy in design – inspired by the charming and charismatic Yagen Toushirou of the Awataguchi Clan, this pair of chunky-heeled booties in matted black leather is just the perfect footwear choice for any occasions. Yagen’s sword crest is printed in silver on the insoles; they retail at JPY 15,800 a pair.
Inspired by Otegine – one of the top three spears of Japan – this pair of sneakers in deep olive-green with double black-gold parallel lines design across its body is the ideal footwear for a casual day-out. Otegine’s crest is printed in gold on the insoles of the sneakers; they retail at JPY 10,800 a pair.
Low-heeled engineer boots in simple black, with a dash of the signature electric blue inner-lining inspired by the boisterous Taikogane Sadamune – fondly known as “Sada-chan” by fans of the game series – a treasured sword from the household of Sendai warlord Date Masamune (1567 – 1636). Sada-chan’s crest is similarly printed in gold emboss on the insoles of the boots – which retail at JPY 16,800 a pair.
