Paramount Pictures is adapting Sega’s timeless video game classic, Sonic the Hedgehog, into a live-action/CGI-animated film. And now, Variety has reported that Hollywood actor, James Marsden, will be having a starring role in the film. However, the did not reveal what this role really is. Fans might know the actor as Teddy from the hit TV show, Westworld, as well as Cyclops in the X-Men film.

Jeff Fowler will be directing this video game adaptation, while Deadpool director Tim Miller is serving as executive producer. Meanwhile, Pat Casey and Josh Miller are writing the scripts, with Neal H. Moritz producing.

The film marks the first time the classic Sega character, Sonic the Hedgehog, enters the big screen. It will be a blend of live-action and CGI effects, and will premiere on 15 November 2019.
