A special musical event “ANIME SYMPHONY JAPAN PREMIUM CONCERT MACROSS 35th × Macross F 10th Anniversary「Super Space-Time Orchestra F」” (wow — that is a mouthful!) has been announced — slated to take place on 8th and 9th August 2018 at the Mitsukoshi Theater in Tokyo.
Also announced was the special guest, in the person of Megumi Nakajima — who played amateur songstress Ranka Lee in the anime “Macross Frontier”. Tokyo Chamber Orchestra and Tokyo Chorus Choir will be performing under the baton of conductor Kenichi Shimura for the special event.
Aside from celebrating the anniversaries of both Macross and Macross Frontier, the event will also pay tribute to Kentaro Haneda, the original composer for the Macross series, on the 10th anniversary of his death. He passed away last 2nd June 2007 from liver cancer.
Tickets to the event will be available from 16th July 2018 via the official Macross Portal.
