As previously reported on WOW Japan, Studio Trigger will be teaming up with ARC SYSTEM WORKS, to release a new game based on the “KiLL LA KiLL” series. The new game has been given an official title: “Kill la Kill the Game: IF”, and the very first teaser has been screened at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California.

“KiLL la KiLL” was first released in 2013 by Studio Trigger, directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by Kazuki Nakashima of “Gurren Lagann” fame. It follows a troubled young girl Ryuko Matoi hunting down her father’s killer, which brings her to the attention of Satsuki Kiryuin, the strict student council president of their school Honnouji Academy.

ARC SYSTEM WORKS is a Japanese game developer best known for the super-stylish fighting games “Guilty Gear” and “BLAZBLUE”. This is not their first collaboration to create a game for an anime franchise, as they have also developed fighting games for “Dragoonball Z”, “Persona 4”, “First of the North Star” and “ONE PIECE”.
