Popular manga series “Bungo Stray Dogs” has announced the production of a third season this previous weekend, at the special screening event for “Bungo Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE” held at the Marunouchi Picadilly in Tokyo. The event also featured personal appearances by voice actors Yuto Uemura (who plays series protagonist “Atsushi Nakajima”) and Mamoru Miyano (who plays “Osamu Dasai”), who made the announcement to the the delight of the fans.

The event also announced the release of the “Bungo Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE” BD and DVD sets, with limited edition first press sets to include the short novels “Bungo Stray Dogs BEAST”- Akutagawa of White, Atsushi of Black-” and “Bungo Stray Dogs Dazai, Nakaya, 15 Years Old”. An expanded, complete edition will also be published by Kadokawa Beans Bunko.

“Bungo Stray Dogs” is a Japanese manga series written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. It features a detective agency whose members possess special powers. Many characters of the series are named after famous literary figures, such as Atsushi Nakajima, Osamu Dazai, Ryūnosuke Akutagawa, Rampo Edogawa, Agatha Christie, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Edgar Allan Poe, Mark Twain, and many others.
