In anticipation of the upcoming back-to-back releases of the movies “FLCL 2” and “FLCL 3”, the first season of “FLCL” will be aired on internet streaming site nicocnico on 11th July 2018 from 9:00 PM JSY (8:00 PM SGT). Accompanying the screening is a special talk show by castmembers Inori Minase and Karen Miyama, to be hosted by comedian tetsuya Yanagihara.
The highly anticipated sequel to one of the seminal works of 2000’s anime, FLCL 2 will be released on 7th September 2018, with FLCL 3 following shortly after on 28th September 2018. Japanese alternative rock act and soundtrack artistses “the pillows” will once again create the music for FLCL 2 and 3.
FLCL 2 and 3 will marks the return of most of the staff from the first FLCL, including creator Kazuya Tsurumaki and character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. The new films will be helmed by “PSYCHO-PASS” director Katsuyuki Motohiro, with the screenplay written by “Last Dinner” writer Hideto Iwai.
