The live-action Gintama 2 Okite wa Yaburu Tame ni Koso Aru (The Law is Surely There to be Broken) will be premiering in August. And now, Warner Brothers Japan has started streaming a new trailer for the film:

Aside from teasing the action and the laughs, the trailer also previews the song  “Daifuseikai” by back number. It will serve as the film’s official theme song. Aside from the new trailer, the staff also revealed a new poster visual:

And as it turns out, it won’t just be following one arc from the manga, but two! According to staff, it will follow the “Shinsengumi Crisis” and the “Shogun Reception” arcs.

Masaki Suda and Kanna Hashimoto are reprising their roles as Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura respectively. Meanwhile, Shun Oguri is also coming back as the one and only Gintoki Sakata. Finally, Jiro Sato will also be returning from the first film, but this time in a different and unspecified role. Masami Nagasawa returns as Tae Shimura, while Masaki Okada also returns as Kotarou Katsura. However, they did not specify if Takayuki Yamada is returning in Gintama 2 as Elizabeth. The film will premiere in Japan on 17th August.
