The production team of “Attack on Titan” has announced that LINKED HORIZON will be providing the ending theme of the upcoming third season, titles “Akatsuki no Chinkonka”. LINKED HORIZON has previously sung the now-famous theme songs of the first two seasons, “Gurenn no Yumiya” and “Shinzou wo Sasageyou” respectively.
“Attack on Titan” Season 3 will focus more on the mysteries of the walls, the Titans, and the Royal Family, as well as offer a glimpse of Levi’s past. It will premiere this 22 July 2018 on NHK, with the opening theme “RED SWAN” provided by legendary Japanese band X Japan featuring L’ Arc~en~Ciel vocalist HYDE.
With sound creator Revo handling the song writing, composition and arrangement, he collaborates with other works under the project name ‘Linked Horizon’. Linked Horizon has come a long way since its creation in June 2012, releasing two singles and one album.
In 2013, Linked Horizon performed the opening theme song for the popular TV anime Shingeki no Kyojin, ‘Jiyuu e no Shingeki’ which was an insightful interpretation of the world of the original work. The CD single was a big hit, sold over 250,000 copies and received a platinum disc award.
