Via Nijimen: “HITMAN” author Kouji Seo tweeted a photo sent to him by his family in Western Japan, showing some of the extent of the damage caused by massive rainfall. The resulting landslides and flashfloods have claimed 179 lives so far.

Wanting to do something for the people living through the crisis, he and fellow manga authors banded together to create the the hashtag #西日本頑張ろうイラスト, shared illustrative messages cheering the residents of Western Japan on as they battle the floods.
