Kyoto Animation has recently conducted a very special event for Violet Evergarden. And during that event, they dropped a huge bombshell, as the Violet Evergarden’s staff revealed that it’s getting an anime film. The staff have been continually teasing that a “new project in process” for the franchise, and this is it.
Seiyuu Haruka Tomatsu later confirmed the announcement on her personal blog. She also confirmed that the anime will premiere in theatres sometime in January 2020. The film itself will be an all new work, which means it won’t be a compilation film.
However, the staff and Haruka Tomatsu didn’t reveal any further details about the film itself. It looks like we would have to wait a bit more for any further announcements.
