Google Assistant has recently launched a new smartphone app service that enables users to “live-chat” with ikemen (i.e. handsome, suave, etc.) 2D characters. Primarily targeting this service at fans of otome-games, it has paired up with the popular “Ikemen Vampire – Great Men and Loves’ Allure” game from mobile otome-game developer Cybird Inc.

Cybird‘s infamous “Ikemen Series” and allows fans the surreal experience to live-chat with two of the series’ characters – Leonardo da Vinci (voiced by popular veteran seiyuu Kenjiro Tsuda); and Vincent van Gogh (voiced by the young and popular 2.5D actor-turning-seiyuu Yoshihiko Aramaki).

With over 40 pre-recorded lines in the speech styles and nuances of the beloved characters, plus the added-on realistic background sound-effects of everyday life (e.g. sounds of the door opening or closing, footsteps/footfalls, rustling of clothing, etc.), the service aims to enable users the most surrealistic “live-chat” experience that A.I. technologies may provide, just as if they are chatting with their real-live boyfriends.

The service is available for download here and is for smartphones on Google Home and/or Google Home Mini enhanced-platforms equipped with Google Assistant. Once successfully downloaded, users may launch it by simply saying “OK Google, please hook me up with the Ikemen Chat Line” and commence conversations with Leonardo or Vincent!
