In the Ace Attorney games, players often have to look for hidden hints and clues. And now, as its anime is getting a second season, it looks like they’re doing the same with the new key visual. The visual is pretty simple, with the upper side featuring Phoenix Wright, while the other features antagonist Godot.

So, have you seen the hidden message? After all, they left a pretty huge clue on how to get it, and it’s colored yellow. Here’s a hint if you still haven’t guessed; turn the photo upside down.

Have you seen it? The hidden message should be the upside down of Ace Attorney’s Japanese title, Gyakuten Saiban. In fact, its the inverted version of the work “Gyakuten” or 逆転 which means “turn-about”. The upside down version reads “Shouri” (勝利 or “victory”). What could this mean? Is Phoenix Wright in trouble… again?

The staff also confirmed that the anime will premiere on 6th October via YTV and NTV. It will be replacing the current season of My Hero Academia for the 5:30 pm JST timeslot. The fist season’s main cast will also be returning for this second season as well:

  • Yuuki Kaji as Phoenix Wright/Ryuuichi Naruhodou
  • Aoi Yuuki as Maya Fey/Mayoi Ayasato
  • Masashi Tamaki as Miles Edgeworth/Reiji Mitsurugi
  • Chie Nakamura as Mia Fey/Chihiro Ayasato
  • Masami Iwasaki as Dick Gumshoe/Keisuke Itonokogiri
  • Tooru Nara as Larry Butz/Masashi Yahari

A-1 Pictures will once again be producing the anime, with Season 1’s director, Ayumu Watanabe, also making his return. Other staff members such as series writer Atsuhiro Tomioka, composer Kaoru Wada, and character designer Keiko Oota are also returning.
