Mangaka and “suspected vampire” Hirohiko Araki is one of the manga industry’s biggest names. His Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure manga is one of the biggest bestsellers from Japan, and saying its anime adaptation is popular may be a bit of an understatement. And now, he’ll be appearing on a TV Show titled “Tanken Bakumon: Deep Inside” for his own “Bizarre Adventure”.

Araki will be appearing in the show’s 29th August Episode, alongside artist Fuyuko Matsui. The two will be exploring the National Museum of Western Art in Tokyo, and looking at the museum’s masterpieces. They will also be entering the museum’s off-limits areas, which includes the preservation and restoration room. Together, they will explore Western art’s influences on Japanese culture. “Tanken Bakumon: Deep Inside” is an NHK TV series which explores the behind-the-scenes happenings of different places and topics.

Araki is known to be very much interested in Western culture. He even created a story based on one famous Western museum with “Rohan at the Louvre”.
