Katsuwo’s “Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu” 4-koma comedy series is getting an animated adaptation out Spring 2019! Chisato Morishita will play the eponymous Bocchi Hitori, while Minami Tanaka will play Nako Suna — the first friend Bocchi makes upon entering middle school.
“Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu” centers around Bocchi Hitori, who suffers from social anxiety; her name is actually a play on the words “hitori bocchi”, which means “alone” in Japanese. Upon entering different middle schools, her only friend threatens to end their friendship until Bocchi can make friends with her entire class — forcing Bocchi to come out of her shell.
