The 40th anniversary celebrations for Urusei Yatsura have already begun! The manga series which launched Rumiko Takahashi’s career is certainly a classic, and Japan post is joining the celebrations. This time, they’re releasing official Urusei Yatsura stamp sets, which feature Lum herself!

The set will include a framed set of ten stamps. It will also feature a special 40th anniversary calendar, as well as a set of colored illustrations from Rumiko Takahashi.

Each stamp in the set is official, so you can even use them to stamp your mail. But doing that is a waste, right? As for the cost, each set, including the freebies, will cost 4,500 yen. Several Japanese post offices, along with Japan Post’s official website, are now accepting pre-orders. They will then ship these sets out sometime in December 2018.

Takahashi-sensei herself has had the career since she started Urusei Yatsura. She went on to create other classics such as Ranma 1/2 and InuYasha. The mangaka also received one of the highest honors in the entire comic book industry, as she entered the Will Eisner Awards Hall of Fame last month during the San Diego Comic Con.
