Japanese pop super star Namie Amuro will be making a special appearance in the special episode of ONE PIECE airing in Japan tomorrow! The singer has been drawn recognizably in Eiichiro Oda’s signature ONE PIECE style, and is seen guiding the Straw Hat Pirates around the now infamous Sorajima area.
Namie Amuro has announced her retirement late last year, and has recently concluded her farewell tour. She’s had a successful career of over twenty-five years, singing some of the biggest hits on the Japanese pop scene, including beloved theme songs from anime such as ONE PIECE.
ONE PIECE has made a tradition of airing special episodes during the Japanese summer break, with Episode of Luffy and Episode of Nami in 2012, Episode of Merry in 2013, Episode of Sabo in 2015, and Episode of East Blue in 2017. The special episode will be the first covering the Sorajima (Skypeia) arc, and will have a new character who did not appear in the Skypeia arc of the anime series.
ONE PIECE Episode of Skypeia is scheduled to air on Fuji TV on 25th August 2018 from 21:00 to 23:10!
