Fans of urban fantasy “Strike the Blood” will be excited to know that a new OVA series “Strike the Blood III” has been announced! Although the release date is yet to be revealed, main castmembers Yoshimasa Hosoya, Risa Taneda, Asami Seto, Ikumi Hayama, Hisako Kanemoto, Ryouta Osaka, and Rina Hidaka will be reprising their roles.
“Strike the Blood” is a Japanese light novel series by Gakuto Mikumo with illustrations by Manyako. A TV anime adaptation first aired in 2013, followed by an OVA series “Strike the Blood II” released in 2016. The story centers on Kojou Akatsuki — a vampire hiding his powers while pretending to be a high school studnet, and Yukina Himeragi — an apprentice priestess sent to investigate if Kojou is the legendary vampire foretold in prophecy.
