Working for Studio Ghibli itself is a long shot, especially for those who cannot draw. Well, there is a next best thing though, and that’s working on the Ghibli Museum! And good news Ghibli fans, because it looks like they’re now hiring. They even posted a job listing online.

If you think you have what it takes, then you can simply download the application pack here. Applicants must also attach a self-introduction to talk about their achievements and themselves. They didn’t list fluency in Japanese as a requirement, but did list “confidence in language ability”. But given that the form itself is in Japanese, it seems that knowing the language is a must.

Interested applicants must submit their resumes to: 〒181-0013 東京都三鷹市下連雀1-1-83 三鷹の森ジブリ美術館 採用係 (In English:  Employment Official, The Mitaka Ghibli Museum, Tokyo-to, Mitaka-shi, Shimorenjaku 1-1-83, 〒181-0013). They must send their applications before 31 August 2018. Those successful applicants will also get a phone call within a month after the deadline. They will then go on an interview before the museum finalises their list of new employees.
