Tottori Prefecture has much love for its favored son, Detective Conan mangaka Gosho Aoyama. In fact, they held plenty of Detective Conan-related events in the past. And now, their airport is celebrating the hometown boy once more. Tottori Airport, which also goes by the nickname, Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport in honor of Aoyama, recently did a remodeling. But this time, they added a few new Conan-themed features. Of course, these include several life-size statues of the manga’s characters.

The arrival lobby will feature Ran and Conan greeting passengers as they arrive. The display will also feature a handwritten message from Aoyama himself! The airport will also feature an official Detective Conan shop called the Conan Tanteisha Shop. They’re also recreating Cafe Poirot from the manga and anime, along with a life-size Tohru Amuro.

Finally, the Tottori Airport will also be holding several mystery-solving and stamp rallies. For the stamp rally, they will be teaming up with the Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory. Fans who visit both the Manga Factory and the Detective Conan Tanteisha Shop and get their cards stamped will get a special coaster. Meanwhile, those who spend over 2,000 yen in the shop will get a bonus merchandise.
