Groundbreaking Japanese artiste “EGOIST” treated anisong and game music fans to a marvelous melding of music and techology during their second solo concert in Singapore! “EGOIST Asia Tour 2018 Live in Singapore” hosted a sold-out crowd last 8th September 2018 Zepp@BIGBOX in Jurong East, and WOW Japan was excited to come along for the ride!

Singapore is the second stop on the Asia tour of the duo composed of vocalist chelly and composer ryo (of supercell fame); the first concert was held in the previous week at C3 AFA Jakarta’s I Love Anisong. True to form, chelly did not personally perform onstage; however, thanks to some cutting edge motion capture technology, her voice and movement was projected onstage from her secret base backstage.

EGOSIT played a medley of their biggest hits, including “The Everlasting Guilty Crown” from the anime of the same name, “The Monster with No Name” from “Psycho Pass”, “Door” from “The Empire of Corpses”, and many other hits.

In between songs, chelly spoke to the crowd about her experiences in the three years since their last Singapore concert. We’re delighted on behalf of chelly to be able to witness her growth and maturity as an artiste.

The biggest surprise of the evening came during the encore. As chelly wrapped up the evening’s concert with the hit song “Eiyuu: Unmei no Uta” from the anime adaptation of “Fate Apocrypha”, the crowd stayed on its feet calling for more.

chelly gamely obliged by singing the end theme of the said anime, “Desir” by fellow SACRA MUSIC artiste GARNiDELiA — quickly followed by “Connect” by ClariS, another SACRA MUSIC sister group. The audience went completely wild, and the concert ended on a high note.

Congratulations to EGOIST for an amazing concert, and we hope you visit us in South East Asia again soon!
