AKB48 member Miyu Takeuchi has announced that she will be graduating from Japan’s top idol group at the end of the year. She has been with the idol group for close to 10 years.
Miyu recently made waves when she joined the Korean reality show “Produce48”, as one of the few girls on the show praised by the super strict vocal coach for her amazing voice and perfect pitch.
Miyu’s last appearances as part of AKB48 will be at the Makihari Messe Handshake event on 23rd December 2018. AKB48’s 53rd single “Sentiomental Train” will also be her last track with the group.
Miyu herself made the announcement via Youtube and Japanese streaming service SHOWROOM. The announcement was done in Japanese, but the important points were very helpfully translated into English to benefit her international fans.
