Former member of Japanese idol group Morning Musume, Hitomi Yoshizawa, was arrested in Tokyo on charges of running a red light, hit-and-run, and drunk driving. Yoshizawa apparently did not stop at a red light, hit a female on a bicycle as well as a male pedestrian, and drove away from the scene. The victims suffered minor injuries.
The arrest follows another traffic incident earlier this year, when the car Yoshizawa was driving collided with an oncoming vehicle. The passengers of the other vehicle were unhurt, and Yoshizawa had already apologized for the incident.
