It looks like we finally have our Narumi and Hirotaka for the live-action Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku film. Eiga.com has reported that live-action Death Note series’ Kento Yamazaki will be playing the gamer Hirotaka. Meanwhile, playing his fujoshi childhood friend Narumi is Napping Princess’s Mitsuki Takahata.

This would be the first time Yamazaki and Takahata are pairing up in a film. Of course, those familiar with Wotakoi would know that Hirotaka and Narumi aren’t the only couple in the anime. However, it looks like they would be revealing more cast members soon enough.

The film will premiere sometime in 2019, and filming will begin between October and November. Live-action Gintama director Yuuichi Fukuda will be at the helm of this project, so expect some laughs along the way.

Who do you think will play Narumi’s senpai and cosplayer/fujoshi, Hanako Koyanagi? How about her secret boyfriend and anime otaku Tarou Kabakura? Well, it looks like we would find out soon enough as the staff reveal more cast announcements in the future.
