After announcing that Berserk is getting a live-action PV, they finally released the full video online. The new video stars 68-year old veteran singer Shigeru Matsuzaki as Guts. Matsuzaki is quite known in Japan for his dark skin, and that may be why they chose him to play the “Black Swordsman”.

And as they also previously announced, they also released an interview video with the singer, as well as a behind-the-scenes video.

But wait, there’s more! They also featured Matsuzaki as Guts in a couple of posters. Of course, Kentaro Miura’s long-running (and always-going-on-hiatus) manga provided plenty of inspiration for them. And as these images and videos show, they really went all out on the promotion.

They’re doing all of this to promote the release of the manga’s new 40th tankoubon compilation volume, which are now available in book stores, as well as manga and anime stores across Japan. Each copy costs 580 yen plus tax, but do remember that these are in Japanese.

And now, all that’s left for fans is to wait for Miura-sensei to finally end the series without any hiatuses. They must also pray that no new iDOLM@STER game would be coming out any time soon…
