Seiyuu Showtaro Morikubo recently released a new blog post announcement which shocked many fans. In that post, he revealed that he has already left his previous agency, VIMS, last 31 August 2018. He has spent 17 years in that company, and expressed all his gratitude towards them. However, he also revealed that he has founded and launched his own talent agency called “Add 9th” on 1 September 2018.
In his blog, the seiyuu revealed that he’s exiting the company without any dissatisfaction or complaint. In fact, his decision for starting his own agency was just because he wanted a “Fresh Start”.
However, his exit from the company means that VIMS is shutting down his company twitter page on 30th September. However, he and Add 9th have launched a new twitter account in addition to the personal one he’s been maintaining for years now.
The seiyuu is famous for plenty of popular anime roles. These include Hakuouki’s Souji Okita, Yowamushi Pedal’s Yuusuke Makishima, and of course, Naruto’s Shikamaru Nara.
