As a tribute to the 10th Anniversary of the theatrical adaptation of otome game series “Harukanaru Toki no Naka de” (lit. ‘In a Distant Time‘) by KOEI Tecmo Games (under KOEI Tecmo Holdings Co, Ltd.), the third installation – “Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3” (AKA. “Haruka3“) – stage-play of the series will finally be produced.
Taking a fantasy twist to the historical chronicles of the Genpei Wars, where the Taira Clan (Heike) clashed forces with the dynastic ruling Minamoto Clan (Genji) in a series of civil wars in the late-Heian Era, “Haruka3” tells the story of main female lead Nozomi Kassuga and how she was whisked away from her own world and sent back in time to the last years of 12th Century Japan. To return to her own world and time, Nozomi must take on the role of the ‘Holy Priestess of the White Dragon’ – a divine being on the Genji’s side – and aid the Genjis in their war to suppress the enemy forces. Nozomi will not be fighting alone because the divine spiritual powers lying dormant within her have awakened since her arrival in the 12th Century; she will also have 8 Divine Guardian warriors as her protectors.
Since their very first announcement post on the Harukanaru Stage Adaptation’s official twitter back in 13 July, the production committee has finally revealed the full-costumed key visuals of the casts/characters for this round of “Haruka3” Stage Play. Let’s take a look!

Yuki Saotome as the ‘Seiryuu of Earth’: Minamoto Kurou no Yoshitsune – the Commander of the Genji forces
Taishi Sugie as the ‘Suzaku of Heaven’: Hinoe – a mysterious youth Nozomi met during her pilgrimage to the holy Kumano Shrines
Mashu Ishiwatari as the ‘Suzaku of Earth’: Musashi-bou Benkei – the right-hand-man of Yoshitsune and strategist of the Genji forces
Yuhei Chiwata as the ‘Byakko of Heaven’: Yuzuru Arikawa – Masaomi’s younger brother
Teruma as the ‘Byakko of Earth’: Kagetoki Kajiwara – an officer in the Genji forces
Yuzuki Hoshimoto as the ‘Genbu of Heaven’: Taira no Atsumori – the leader of the enemy Heike forces despite being destined with the powers of the Divine Guardian warrior
Kohei Murakawa as the ‘Genbu of Earth’: Ridvan – a man shrouded in mystery but also Nozomi’s teacher in wielding the katana/sword. He is rumoured to be the descendant of the ogres because of his blonde hair and blue eyes
Hotaru Nomoto as the ‘Holy Priestess of the Black Dragon’: Saku Kajiwara – Nozomi’s nemesis and younger sister to Kagetoki Kajiwara
Seiya Inagaki as the ‘White Dragon’ – a divine being with mysterious powers backing the Genji Clan
Seijiro Nakamura as Taira no Tomomori – a ranking officer of the Heike forces and famed for his prowess on the battlefield
The “Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3” Stage Play will run from 6 ~ 10 December 2018 at Kinokuniya Southern Theatre TAKASHIMAYA in Tokyo; and from 14 ~ 16 December 2018 at the Sankei Hall Breeze in Osaka.
