Several Japanese news sites have reported that veteran actor and seiyuu, Hikaru Miyataka, has now passed away. According to the reports, he died acute aortic dissection. He was 87 years old.
His family will be holding a funeral service on 30th September 2018, with his wife, Fumiko, acting as the chief mourner. Fellow-seiyuu Taketora, who worked with Miyataka on Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, also talked about the late actor on social media. He described him as “always smiling”.
Fans may know Hikaru Miyataka for his various anime voice roles. He had voiced characters for such works as Naruto, Heat Guy J, Noein – to your other self, Gundam X, and Code Geass: Akito the Exiled. He also acted in several live-action works as well.
